World champions South Africa have landed in the English capital to take on Wales in the two nations’ opening summer international Test mach. Wales come into the match on the back of their worst Six Nations performance since 2003, and they’ll feel like they have something to prove when the two teams run out at Twickenham on Saturday.

For the Springboks, this is their first Test since they took victory in the 2023 World Cup final to become back-to-back rugby world champions.
But plenty of their stars have had great success with their club sides since then, especially the strong Hollywoodbets Sharks cohort who lifted the EPCR Challenge Cup just one month ago.
“We have our backs to the wall a little bit this week, but we’re really excited about the challenge on Saturday,” Wales Head Coach Warren Gatland said. “Facing the world champions at Twickenham Stadium will be a great occasion and we’re relishing the opportunity to get out there and put in a performance.
“We have a big week ahead of us with this young squad, but the coaches and I have been very happy with the effort that’s going in.”
